Every major encryption algorithm protecting enterprise data today — RSA, ECC, DH — is vulnerable to Shor's algorithm running on a sufficiently powerful quantum computer. NIST and the NSA estimate that quantum computers capable of breaking these algorithms will exist by approximately 2029 (Q-Day).
What most organizations don't realize is that the attack is already happening. Nation-state adversaries are running Harvest Now, Decrypt Later (HNDL) campaigns — capturing encrypted enterprise traffic today to store and decrypt when their quantum computers are ready.
